He warned officials that all outstanding files must be cleared within the prescribed time‑frames and that procedural bottlenecks be eliminated immediately.

Zero Tolerance for Unjustified Delays

Reviewing the docket of cases awaiting court action, the Commissioner emphasized that no matter should linger without a legitimate cause. He ordered regular hearings and mandated that every case be resolved swiftly, adhering strictly to the governing rules. Any unwarranted postponement was flagged for corrective action.

Fast‑Track Land‑Use Applications (Section 143)

On the subject of Section 143 applications concerning land‑use conversion, the Commissioner instructed that each file be decided within ten days, in line with statutory timelines. He highlighted the need for transparency and called for a concerted effort to prevent backlogs in revenue‑related decisions.

Mutation Files Under Scrutiny

Expressing displeasure over the pattern of mutation files being dismissed on the 35th day, the Commissioner directed that the Tehsildar provide an immediate explanation. He reiterated that mutation applications must be examined according to the rules and disposed of well before the deadline.

‘Khurra’ Cases Pending for Over Two Years

The inspection also uncovered a cluster of ‘Khurra’ matters that have remained unresolved for more than two years. In response, the Commissioner ordered the concerned Patwaris to furnish detailed explanations and to accelerate the closure of these long‑standing files.

Monitoring and Public Convenience

To ensure sustained oversight, the Commissioner tasked the Sub‑Divisional Magistrate (SDM) with weekly monitoring of all pending Tehsil cases. He stressed that citizens should not be forced to make repeated trips to government offices for revenue services, urging a streamlined workflow that guarantees timely and quality outcomes.

Advocates’ Request for an Ahlmad

During the visit, a group of local lawyers approached the Commissioner, requesting the posting of an Ahlmad at the Tehsil office. He assured them that the posting would be prioritized and appealed to the legal community to help raise public awareness about mutation procedures.
