At the 48th WorldSkills Competition held in Shanghai from 22‑27 September 2026, India delivered a record‑breaking performance, walking away with six silver medals and twenty Medallions of Excellence. The tally lifted the nation to a historic 10th place – its highest ranking ever at the global skills showdown.
Two standout competitors from Uttarakhand were instrumental in this success. Sania Joshi clinched a silver in the Retail Sales category, while Parth Vohra secured another silver in Industrial Design Technology, both adding to India’s medal haul.
