New Delhi: Vidda, Hisense’s premium home‑theater label, has introduced its flagship Big Eye M2 Pro projector to the Chinese market. Tailored for cinephiles and gamers alike, the model combines a triple‑colour laser light source, an integrated 360° motorised gimbal and a suite of high‑end specifications that aim to deliver a true cinema feel without the hassle of a permanent mount.

Pricing and Market Launch

The Big Eye M2 Pro is priced at 5,499 yuan in China, with a limited‑time promotional discount that reduces the effective cost to 4,949 yuan. Customers can immediately select the sleek “Moonlight White” finish, while the “Space Silver” variant is currently open for pre‑orders. No official launch date or pricing has been announced for India.

4K Imaging and Brightness

At the heart of the projector sits a 0.47‑inch DMD chip paired with Vidda’s proprietary QuaLas42 triple‑laser engine. Together they produce up to 1,800 CVIA lumens of light, sufficient to light up a well‑lit living room. The unit supports HDR10+ and HLG, and its glass‑lens optics offer a 1.3× optical zoom with a throw ratio ranging from 1.0:1 to 1.3:1.

To achieve a 100‑inch image, the projector should be placed about 2.2 m from the screen; a 150‑inch picture requires roughly 3.3 m, depending on the room’s geometry.

Gaming‑Optimised Performance

Designed with gamers in mind, the M2 Pro can display 4K content at up to 60 Hz, while switching to 1080p unlocks a rapid 240 Hz refresh rate. An HDMI 2.1 connection, MediaTek MT9679 processor and 3 GB of RAM enable Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low‑Latency Mode (ALLM), ensuring fluid gameplay on compatible consoles and PCs.

360° Gimbal Simplifies Installation

Unlike many traditional projectors that require ceiling mounts or external brackets, the Big Eye M2 Pro features a motorised gimbal capable of a full 360° rotation. Users can tilt the device toward the ceiling, floor or any angle, making it simple to adapt to diverse room layouts or screen positions.

Additional automatic tools—autofocus, keystone correction and screen‑alignment assistance—further ease setup, allowing the projector to find the optimal picture with minimal effort.

Integrated Four‑Speaker Audio

Sound is delivered through a built‑in 20 W four‑speaker array, comprising two full‑range drivers and two tweeters. The audio system supports Dolby Audio and DTS:X, providing an immersive soundstage that complements the large‑format visual experience.

India Release Still Pending

At present, the Big Eye M2 Pro is only available in China. Vidda has not disclosed a definitive launch schedule or pricing for the Indian market. If the company decides to bring the projector to India, it will likely issue a separate announcement with localized details.
