Hyderabad. After a 34‑year‑old bank employee was found dead in a room at a hotel in SR Nagar, the police registered a murder case. The victim has been identified as B. Sirisha, a resident of Nagasamudram, Vikarabad district, who worked as a customer‑care executive at a bank.
According to investigators, Sirisha arrived at the Gokul Pride Hotel on 24 September accompanied by a man later identified as A. Srinivas. Both allegedly used false names and forged identification documents when booking the room.
In the hotel’s register, Srinivas entered the name “Ganesh” while Sirisha was recorded as “Durga.” They were assigned room 10.
Srinivas reportedly left the premises at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, telling staff that Sirisha would remain for breakfast before checking out. When the expected response never came and her phone went unanswered, hotel employees grew suspicious and alerted the authorities.
Police entered the room with a master key and discovered Sirisha lifeless on the bed. Preliminary observations noted bruises and possible injuries consistent with an assault using a heavy or sharp object. A curtain rod found in the room is also being examined as potential evidence. The definitive cause of death will be confirmed after the post‑mortem report.
Jubilee Hills DCP A. Ramana Reddy confirmed that a murder FIR has been filed under Section 103(1) of the BNS. Fingerprints and other forensic material have been collected, and investigators are scrutinising the hotel’s CCTV footage to trace Srinivas’s movements and reconstruct the timeline.
Special teams have been deployed to locate Srinivas, and officials are probing the discrepancy between the alias “Durga” used in the hotel log and Sirisha’s actual name as per hospital records.
"We are leaving no stone unturned. Every piece of CCTV footage and forensic trace is being examined to bring the perpetrator to justice," said DCP Ramana Reddy.
Police are also looking into a prior allegation of assault involving Sirisha’s husband to determine any possible link to the present case. The search for Srinivas continues as investigators explore all angles.
