New Delhi. The legendary actor‑host Amitabh Bachchan confirmed that he incurred a slight knee strain while filming the eighteenth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. The incident occurred when he lost footing during a routine shot.

Changed Opening Routine

In the following episode, Bachchan broke from his trademark habit of delivering the opening monologue upright at centre stage. Instead, he took a chair and addressed the audience from there, citing the fresh injury as the reason for the adjustment.

Pointing to his left knee, the veteran assured everyone that the issue was minor. He mentioned that while he would still rise to greet contestants, he preferred to remain seated for the introductory segment because standing caused discomfort. The audience responded with a chorus of well‑wishes for a speedy recuperation.
