On a Sunday in Sadarpur, a locality under the Madhuban Bapudham police jurisdiction, 33‑year‑old Renu was discovered lifeless after a violent dispute with her husband. Law enforcement has lodged a case against the accused, Arun, who continues to evade capture.

Renu’s origins and family life

Renu hailed from Jalalpur village in Aligarh’s Pisawa block. She had been married to Arun, a resident of Sadarpur, for roughly fifteen years, and the pair were parents to two sons, aged 12 and 9.

Family alleges a pattern of abuse

According to members of Renu’s maternal family, Arun was prone to physical aggression, especially after consuming alcohol. They contend that confrontations were not new and that the couple had previously engaged in several heated arguments.

Escalation on the day of tragedy

The latest altercation is said to have erupted on Sunday when another argument broke out. The family claims the dispute quickly turned physical, and that Arun placed a video call to Renu’s brother, Rahul Rathi, showing his sister’s injuries and urging him to come and take her away.

After receiving the distressing call, Rahul, accompanied by other relatives, drove to Sadarpur. Upon reaching the house they found it locked, and neighbours informed them that Renu had already been taken to a medical facility.

The family arrived at the Joint District Hospital in Sanjay Nagar, where doctors examined Renu and declared her dead. Preliminary reports pointed to a severe head injury, allegedly inflicted by a heavy object.

Husband’s disappearance

Relatives say members of Arun’s family left the hospital before the victims could reach it. Following the death, Rahul lodged a formal complaint naming Arun and several in‑laws as suspects.

DCP City Dhawal Jaiswal confirmed that investigators are actively tracking Arun. Police have begun tracing his whereabouts and indicated that further legal action will be taken once he is located.
