A Colourful Welcome at Birsa Munda Airport

When the newly appointed BJP in‑charge for Jharkhand and his accompanying co‑incharges landed at Birsa Munda Airport on Monday, they were greeted by a kaleidoscope of drums, chants and cultural acts. Party workers lined the runway, draping the visitors with garlands and scattering flower petals, while traditional percussion resonated with the region’s heritage.

Who Makes Up the New Squad

Heading the delegation was Gajendra Singh Patel, the party’s national general secretary who has just taken charge of Jharkhand. He was flanked by co‑incharges Saurabh Singh, chairperson of the Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation, and Nivedita Singh, a member of the Bihar Legislative Council. Their combined experience is expected to inject fresh energy into the BJP’s state‑wide organisational framework.

Senior Stalwarts Joined the Festivities

A host of senior BJP leaders from Jharkhand gathered to mark the occasion. In attendance were State President Aditya Sahu, Union Minister Sanjay Seth, former Chief Minister Arjun Munda, and state vice‑presidents Rakesh Prasad and Balmukund Sahay. The roster also featured Assembly chief whip Navin Jaiswal, state general secretaries Ganesh Mishra and Amar Kumar Bauri, minister Shalini Baisikhiyar, media chief Yogendra Pratap Singh, and numerous other functionaries who partook in the celebrations.

Strategic Direction Ahead

With the new team now officially at the helm, the BJP has signalled a renewed emphasis on grassroots mobilisation and tighter coordination among its cadres. Party officials anticipate that Patel and his co‑incharges will steer the organisation through upcoming political contests and fortify its footprint across Jharkhand.
