Dehradun. To celebrate his birthday on Wednesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid a heartfelt visit to the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD). He joined the students in cutting a cake and spent quality time with them, radiating warmth and affection.

The youngsters greeted the chief minister with evident excitement. Dhami interacted warmly, offered encouragement, and wished each child a future filled with promise. The institute buzzed with camaraderie, optimism and a strong sense of community.

Addressing the gathering, the chief minister stressed that every child harbours talent and boundless potential. He highlighted that nurturing these abilities requires the right opportunities, steadfast support, and confidence‑building measures. Dhami reminded the audience that empowering persons with disabilities is a shared duty that extends beyond government action to the entire society.

He urged the students to chase their aspirations with self‑belief, perseverance and consistent effort. According to Dhami, guaranteeing equal chances, dignity and an inclusive environment is a collective responsibility.

Spending the day with the children, the chief minister confessed, recharged his spirit. He described their affection and the joy lighting up their faces as the most memorable gifts he could receive on his birthday.

Accompanying him were his wife, Smt. Geeta Pushkar Dhami, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, and several teachers from the institute.
