Global Benchmarks Ease

At the COMEX, spot gold settled around $4,153.80 per ounce, a modest dip of roughly 0.07%. Silver faced a steeper slide, slipping about 0.43% to near $61.04 per ounce.

Indian Market Follows Suit

Domestic traders observed a similar downward drift once the market opened. The price of 24‑carat gold stayed close to the ₹1.49 lakh mark for a 10‑gram piece, while silver was quoted near ₹2.25 lakh per kilogram.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), December gold futures fell by roughly ₹176, landing at ₹1,49,300 per 10 g. Silver futures dropped about ₹500, closing at ₹2,25,700 per kg.

Domestic silver rates also softened. Indicative city‑wise figures were:
