Dehradun: Social‑media personality Anurag Dobhal has been named in a fresh police complaint after a local resident alleged he was attacked, threatened and robbed. The FIR was registered at the Nehru Colony police outpost based on a statement from Raj Singh Chauhan.

Investigators have opened a case file and are presently cross‑checking the details furnished in the grievance.

Altercation Said to Have Begun During a Gathering

According to the filing, Chauhan arrived at a location near a Nexa showroom adjoining Yellow Hills Café on the evening of 5 October to meet Dobhal and several acquaintances.

The complainant asserts that a verbal spat broke out around 8 p.m., which swiftly turned physical.

He claims Dobhal attempted to choke him while other men present allegedly struck him with sticks and metal rods. The report also mentions an effort to run him over with a vehicle.

Mobile Phone and Gold Chain Allegedly Stolen

Chauhan told officers that he sustained injuries during the melee and that his mobile phone and a gold chain were taken from him. He says he managed to flee the scene after the confrontation.

These accusations have not yet been independently verified; police are scrutinising the evidence surrounding the incident.

Harassment Alleged After the Incident

The complainant further alleges that the intimidation continued beyond the venue. He reports receiving threatening phone calls and Instagram messages aimed at both him and his family members.

The FIR lists Dobhal together with Abhay Chaudhary, Tapan Pandit, Abhishek Tiger, Abhinav Srivastava and Guru Bhai, among others.

Nehru Colony police documented the case under Sections 117(2), 191(2) and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) based on Chauhan’s allegations.

Evidence collection is underway and statements are being recorded to reconstruct the sequence of events. No definitive conclusions have been drawn yet; the investigation will determine each accused's involvement as it proceeds.
